Dr Ruth Board
Dr Ruth Board is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Rosemere Cancer Centre, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She is the trust Lead Cancer Physician and Lead for Chemotherapy. She sits on the UK Chemotherapy Board representing the Association of Cancer Physicians (ACP) and the Royal College of Physicians. Specialising in the treatment of breast cancer and metastatic melanoma, she has seen first hand the paradigm shift in the treatment of melanoma with the introduction of immunotherapy. As one of the project leads for the UKONS acute oncology initial management guidelines, she helped to introduce immunotherapy toxicity guidance into the 2018 version2 of the national guidance. She is actively involved in research and teaching, and is Editor of the “Problem Solving In.” series of educational books from the ACP.
